Where Do You Draw Your Strength?

Founder of LASH LINES LLC, Angelic Garza-Parsons, once shared that her strength comes from Christ through His word: the Bible. Where do you draw your strength from?

Many of us are stronger when we have people we love and care about by our side to support us. This could be a parent, a sibling, an aunt or uncle, or a close friend. For Angelic, and her brothers and sisters in Christ, the word of God has strengthened her and accompanied her throughout all of her life.

My parents gifted me [my] Bible in the summer of 1997. I was only 17. I read it regularly for years, then went through a long period of time where it just gathered dust. As time passed and brought along it’s struggles, I found these words of wisdom quickened in my heart.

The thing about relying on God to guide us through life is that He will never ever leave. Even when we can’t feel or hear Him, even though we can’t see Him, He is there. He has the power to do all things, and He can help us when we can’t help ourselves. The Bible says the Lord knew each and every one of us before we were formed in the womb; before the Earth was created, he knew you. For many Christians, this fact gives comfort. Comfort knowing that God sees and guides our path, if we allow Him to.

This great book has shaped me, and motivates me to be an extraordinary wife, mother and entrepreneur… Yes, I want everyone to have beautiful eyelashes. But even more so, Christ in your heart.
So… where do you draw your strength?

Your honesty is always refreshing in such a fake and broken world we live in. I encourage you to continue with these insights into your walk with Christ so it may help others. I have recently stopped listening to music when I’m driving somewhere and now listen to my Bible app. The Lord has led me to certain questions being answered while doing this, specifically, what it means to die to one’s self. This was a spirtual breakthrough for me and has helped me to deal with everything happening in my life right now. I do believe that the closer we get to God, His Holiness and Righteousnes, the harder the enemy comes against us. The Lord has also led…
